As the Fort Worth and Dallas region continues to grow there has been a need to ensure the water supply is secured for decades into the future. To that end, the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) and the City of Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) have partnered to design, build, and operate a raw water infrastructure to tap into existing sources. By sharing resources, the Integrated Pipeline Project (IPL) will save an estimated $500 million in capital expenses and potentially $1 billion in energy savings over the life of the project.
The project is currently under construction in Navarro and Ellis counties with Sections 15.1, 12/13/MBR, JB3 and JB3R. For more information about how to be a contractor on the project, please follow the Contact Us link above.
