As the Fort Worth and Dallas region continues to grow there has been a need to ensure the water supply is secured for decades into the future. To that end, , the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) and the City of Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) have partnered to design, build, and operate a raw water infrastructure to tap into existing sources. By sharing resources, the Integrated Pipeline Project (IPL) will save an estimated $500 million in capital expenses and potentially $1 billion in energy savings over the life of the project.
The project is currently under construction in Navarro and Ellis counties with Sections 15.1, 12/13/MBR, JB3 and JB3R. For more information about how to be a contractor on the project, please follow the Contact Us link above.
